Unnecessary And Unpatriotic Questions

Why does it take regulation to get you to do the right thing which you must always first call meddling
How well do you sleep opposing mercury emission rules to protect the brains of infants and birds
Why can you insist that your company did nothing wrong but agree to pay that huge fine and penalty
How does it feel to have been lying so much and so often that it now feels just like telling the truth

Does god tell you to worry more about pollution regulations than what pollution does to people
How could you stuff mortgage funds with bad loans, hedge against them, yet pitch them as safe bets
Why must you always, always, overstate the savings and underestimate the costs of gov’t programs
How come golden parachutes work come profit or loss but you cancel benefits owed to the offshored

Why do you tailor purchased research just so you can keep harming your customers a little bit longer
What sense does it make to raise the retirement age when firms routinely dump all workers over 50
Why must we be expert at your deliberately over-complicated financial scams and work full time
How come you keep overusing livestock antibiotics which breeds resistant strains that infect humans

Why do you keep trying to falsely differentiate between lobbying, consulting and influence-peddling
What enduring patriotic wisdom is there to your greedy, one-track, pursuit of over-the-top millions
How can you be so eager to clear your name but be so unable and unwilling to make any statements
How come we even need the EPA if everyone loves the earth as much as your warm corporate ads say

Doctors, what possible excuse could you have for secretly taking money and perqs from drug firms
Yeah and you, why are 5% of patients responsible for fully 50% of all our bloated healthcare spending
And how will your blessed free market bring healthcare to unemployed, dropout, unmarried mothers
How could you just lay in front of TV for 20 years and dare bitch cause you’re fat and have no skills

Why are your out-of-context statistics any more valid than the junk science you rail so loudly against
How dare you claim innocence as your outsourced, uninspected, foreign ingredients poison customers
Why must you exaggerate, omit, take out-of-context and just plain lie during your political debates
How is it you spend millions on flag-waving ads after you offshored design, production and support

How can you keep a straight face hailing more spending without new revenues as bipartisan progress
How do you justify poisoning consumers on sugar, salt and fat just to snatch your tainted millions
To what end do you support outspending all other countries combined on arms, each and every year
How will you keep a straight face reading your expensive and fictional biographies to the grandkids

Why do you play the Hitler card when debating the birthrate of those mired in generational poverty
How can you proudly deny we create a mass extinction with our divine duty to fruitfully overpopulate
How could you so quietly ignore the thousands of liberated civilians euphemized as collateral damage
What makes you trumpet our national glory despite education, healthcare and employment statistics

How dare you counsel foreigners to eco-preservation given our SlashAndBurn/SmashAndGrab record
How could you put 599 additives in your cigarettes yet leave in the polonium from the fertilizer
Why is it you believe that your spoiled, illiterate, slacking offspring will be tomorrow’s world leaders
How can you stand to pimp them an imaginary eternal heaven in exchange for their fictional souls

Not So Heroic Small Businesses

Small businesses make up: 64 percent of net new private-sector jobs, 49.2 percent of private-sector employment – sba.gov
Such a blessing - All those nowhere jobs created by their greedy, one-track, entrepreneurial fervor
Totally temporary, minimum wage positions featuring both unsafe as well as toxic working conditions
Workers with absolutely no hope of sharing in whatever success might accrue to patriotic owners
Their foreheads stamped “Disposable”, just like any illegale, renter, car buyer or black convict

And praise be to those toiling so deep within those vast and dark passages of our wondrous economy
But remember that, legally, they all work at the will of the vacuous heroes of smalltime capitalism
Ever running vacuums, scraping paint or washing dishes, they share in the quiet dignity of work
We commend their Self-Responsibility while prodding their asses with the dire threat of poverty

They exercise a rightful choice to forego unaffordable insurance and then pray not to get hurt or sick
They watch their brave masters burn out on vapid children, trophy wives and costly hobbies
They are summarily fired for the slightest hint of a bad attitude or any trace of a mind of their own
Loyal for years as foremen or managers, they are indentured servants to be dismissed with nothing

Ah, small business, the engine of our economy, more than ever a perfect reflection of our society
Without health insurance or pension obligations owners enjoy a pure and unfettered competition
Laying awake at night, scheming to put off creditors while somehow speeding up their cash flow
Happy to vote to secure our borders even as they utterly depend upon swindling their illegal workers

Fiercely independent yet wedded to and fleeced by corporate finance, just like everybody else
Ducking in and out of business ahead of a few overwhelmed and underpaid public investigators
Suffering not a whisper of collective bargaining to maintain their iron fast, exploitative grips
Saving money with battered desks on tattered carpets in dark and dingy, rarely-cleaned offices

Cutting back on the coffee and paper towels, toilet tissue, janitorial services and insurance
Fielding fleets of worn-out and ill-maintained vehicles without any liability to their lowly operators
Skimming off cash tax-free while fighting any unemployment benefits for all those they discard
Writing off big lunches and new cars, grudgingly granting workers dirty kitchens and old refrigerators

Profiting well by exposing laborers to toxins every day while treating them as lowpaid untouchables
Creating most of our new jobs right along with the vast majority of our working class poverty
Wetly Judas-Kissed by a well-oiled media that’s run by invisibly-interlocked corporate entities
Spending heavily to support those who promise never to even mention raising the minimum wage

Held up by politicians as the creative fount, bedrock and engine of our most wondrous economy
Laughingly derided as chumps by their corporate betters in private glass offices, toasting bonuses
Cynically but convincingly lauded as innovative leaders by those who are really in control
Their niche innovations one by one offshored into profitable knockoffs by the Big Boys

Counting on the economic meltdown to foster a fear-driven flexibility in their frightened workers
Playing the fragile recovery card to avoid taxes, regulation, hiring and to renege on pension benefits
Wrapping the flag about themselves while mouthing how their greedy actions are truly, so patriotic
Their monomaniacal greed and bug-eyed insecurity is the real driving force of our economic power

Our Leaders During Times Of Uncertainty

We’re not bringing on even 1 more fulltimer if there’s even the remotest chance of new regulations
Why, who in their right mind would expand their workforce given the threat of a liberal takeover?
No Sir - We absolutely demand a permanently-guaranteed certainty, 100% backed by the government
Look, we’re not hiring if there’s even a hint of that damn socialist nannying out there on the horizon

Anyways, we can still squeeze a few more hours out of our reduced and scared-shitless illegale staff
Really, the techno-peasant class are not even looking for different jobs – Because there all the same!
We just finished defaulting on the pensions of the last group so we’re not about to bring on any more
Why, we got millions of the over-eager underemployed or quit-looking who’ll Temp for nothing

Cant even believe them wackos might go so far as to try and reduce emissions, in these hard times
And that deficit, my god, and they still want more money for foolish waste like clean energy
Well, the big boys keep on getting fat bonuses to design, build and do support from overseas ---
So why shouldn’t we be able to mistreat and cheat some illegal aliens right here at home, too?

We fear a raise in that job-killing minimum wage or that unconstitutional universal health insurance
We really need more high tech visas and it’s not just because they work for nothing and can’t quit
Gotdam EPA got no right to be perpetrating this emissions regulating hoax - especially right now
Christ, what if they get rid of the budget-busting tax dodges we’ve come to rely on for our survival?

Yes, we can easily ignore problems created by global warming - But not its potential regulation
The toxic effects of our mercury emissions don’t phase us - Unlike possibly having to control them
This illegal government healthcare takeover has stripped us of our rights so we froze our hiring plans
We must ensure that god is part of our gov’t but also that the gov’t stays out of our businesses

Can’t be competitive til the government assumes our pension promises to long-ago-offshored workers
What if, say, those greenie crackpots start taxing coal mining and oil drilling for environmental costs?
The merest hint of any so-called progressive social initiatives instantly freezes our reactionary blood
They just gotta quit threatening this permanently-fragile recovery of the world’s mightiest economy

Providing a good business climate simply does not involve costly so-called infrastructure investments
If they just back off, We can best provide for all of our futures by blindly maximizing our profit today
Just feed them the pabulum of really slick propaganda chased by a choked-up God Bless America
Clean air, safe water, healthy soil and species habitat will never appear on our balance sheets

Look, we just want predictable and profitable government shelter as enjoyed by Big Oil and Pharma
They keep talking of ending petroleum subsidies and pushing cockamamie solar & wind giveaways
Why, there’s even whispers we might consider reducing our sacred military budget increases
Cant they see that junk-science regulations simply cost our honest working families jobs and money?

The idea of having to clean up our mess scares us way more than any perils that stuff might pose
Never forget that the socialist menace of collective bargaining darkens all of our staffing decisions
Now is certainly not the time to pander to a fuzzy future when so many of our citizens lack good jobs
Truly, the twin threats of taxes and regulation continue to hold our patriotic entrepreneurs hostage

Phony Issues We Could Righteously Ignore

But still: Faith, Family and Freedom did prevail
Took no action that might curb the disgusting obesity epidemic decimating the pickup and SUV class
Still kept our stupid noses way too far up in that filthy Middle East and there still aint no progress
Oh, yeah, never did get the big banks small enough to be able to just let their greedy asses fail
Didn’t really even talk about declining family income and the rapidly shrinking middle class at all

Whoops, them Great Lakes keep being abused as convenient combination dump and sewage lagoon
Dangit, really need to get BigAg to save water, use less fertilizer and lay off pesticides, Sometime
Cows, pigs and chickens are still breeding resistant microbes after being overdosed on antibiotics
Weren’t able to convince the Best and Brightest to do real work instead of hollow Wall Street scams

Forgot to start rebuilding the roads, bridges, electric grid, water systems and ports - once again
Didn’t have the time to eat right but were able to gorge enough fast food to add a few more pounds
Denied any obligation to those unaborted, sinful single-parent children destined only to go to jail
Unknowingly increased our toxic emissions by another 16% last year despite the economic slowdown

Failed to realize that expiring temporary stimuli automatically morph into forbidden tax increases
The diabetes plague raged on as gov’t subsidies for the corn syrup that cause it remained unchanged
Never even heard as ignorant foreigners laughed at our gridlocked government like a bad Polack joke
Didn’t concern ourselves with the Feds collecting vast amounts of our private information in secret

Shoot, really shoulda maybe taken a quick look at all those ever-filthier rivers and streams
That purulently over-complicated tax code coulda been reworked…
Woulda tried ta lower my cholesterol and stuff but, bein busy, why, fast food was the cheapest
Forgot about repairing, reusing, repurposing and recycling after that there Great Recession

They still refused to learn English but we’re real busy putting everything in Spanish, so it’s OK
Still paying absurdly exorbitant cable, cell and internet bills but barely getting 3rd world service…
Got beyond preventing climate change but neglected to even start planning for its very real effects
Didn’t remember to look for alternative news outlets and kept on single-sourcing my canned opinions

Ignored controlling the costliest yet least effective health care system of all the developed countries
Forgot to stop staring as their overpaid, ignorant fupball giants in shiny tights bent over in fronta me
Lost track of quality of life indicators but remained focused only on unemployment, GDP and stocks
Once again avoided statistics about our precious children falling behind in reading, math and science

Didnt notice that the unemployment rate went down mostly cause lots of people just gave up looking
Still disregard that BigAg poisons our soils and lets them blow away in the interests of larger bonuses
Subconsciously overlooked the record numbers without insurance, on welfare and using food stamps
Kept confusing Yankee Ingenuity with offshoring design, production and support for fat CEO bonuses

Omitted demanding the secret sauces they’re fracking into our drinking water to export fossil fuels
Just let that giant, smelly and toxic dead spot at the Mississippi delta remain our fair nation’s anus
Maintained a Survival of the Fittest attitude regarding the mass extinction our overpopulation caused
Forgot we’re hurtling towards endless oblivion while looking forward only to one more lost weekend
